Support Needed for Nonprofit Enabling Court-Ordered Supervised Visitations

The Rockland Youth Empowerment Center (RYE), a non-profit founded in 2020 that facilitates court-mandated supervised visits between non-custodial parents and minors, is struggling with underfunding from the Rockland County government and the departure of Big Brothers Big Sisters. The organization is seeking support for its mission, with a cocktail fundraiser event scheduled for November 16th. RYE currently operates on an annual budget of around $135,000 and is hoping to raise between $30,000 and $50,000 at the event. The supervised visitation program aims to help children from homes with domestic violence and trauma to reconnect with their non-custodial parent in a controlled environment.
